Second, I have a boyfriend.

And third, I respect your courage.

I like that you were super kind and respectful,
I like that you completely understood when I said I taken.
I like that you said “I figured”.

The truth is, I was having a rough day, and this interaction reminded me that being kind to people can shift your day in an instant.

After you asked me out, I complimented a couple other women in the store.

It felt good.

So thank you, for being brave.
Thank you for going for what you want.
Thank you for being an example of how to engage with people in public.

While it was a no, I trust you’ll find the right person who says yes.
